Help Guide the Future of Black and Brown Children Across the Carolinas
The BCDI-Carolinas Advisory Council is a trusted body of educators, advocates, caregivers, and community builders who serve as amplifiers of our mission in North and South Carolina.
Council members help us:
- Ground programs in local realities and community strengths
- Offer expert and lived-experience advice on family support, early education, and child wellness
- Strengthen partnerships with agencies, nonprofits, faith leaders, and funders
- Center family voice—especially those historically marginalized
- Grow impact through fundraising and strategic visibility
Quarterly meetings are held every 3 months for 2 hours (virtual or in-person).
Who Should Apply?
We welcome individuals who are:
- Educators, school leaders, early childhood professionals
- Community organizers, faith leaders, or nonprofit advocates
- Parents, grandparents, and caregivers
- Philanthropic leaders or partners in child and family well-being
Time Commitment
- One 2-hour meeting every quarter
- Optional participation in events, planning, or partnership conversations
